Daniel Hernández is an ecosystem ecologist and chair of the biology department at Carleton College. His research and teaching interests focus on ecosystem restoration and management (particularly in grasslands) and the ecological impacts of regenerative agriculture. He is motivated to work with Sharing Our Roots to promote a more socio-ecologically resilient agricultural system.

What Daniel Enjoys About Sharing Our Roots

I am involved in programs to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of conservation. I hope that my experiences can help support the mission of Sharing Our Roots broadly, but particularly in its goal of demonstrating the ecological benefits of a resilient agricultural system.
