Charlie Zieke (they/them) is a graphic designer and mulching enthusiast. Currently based in Minneapolis, they grew up on 40 acres of heavy clay soil in Houston County, Minnesota. Charlie comes to Sharing Our Roots with a decade of non-profit and educational experience, including wrangling goats and communications at Great River Montessori Farm School, implementing restoration plans for a community permaculture orchard at Frogtown Farm, and supporting gender-creative students as a longtime GSA advisor. Charlie's passion for perennial food forests and cooperative structures is a driving force in their work. In their free time, they teach folk school classes about fermentation and run a small flower & vegetable CSA out of their 1/16th acre yard.
