Community Coppicing & Pruning Workshop with UMN Extension

Bundle up and join the University of Minnesota Extension for a pruning and coppicing workshop at the Sharing Our Roots Farm on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 1pm-3:00pm!

During the gathering, we will learn how to prune young apple trees and coppice elderberry bushes. Please bring your own pruners if you have them. If you do not have pruners to use, they will be provided for you.

We welcome participants of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in engaging in a hands-on workshop! Please register below. We have space for 25 participants.

Please dress for the outdoors and be sure to bring warm layers, including gloves and a hat. There will be a warming house with hot drinks available. Please also note that there is limited access to restrooms on site, so please plan accordingly.

Note that when reserving tickets, 1 ticket/person. If you’re coming as a family or group, please reserve enough tickets for everyone attending. For example, a family of 4, needs to reserve 4 tickets.
