CSA (Community Supported Agriculture)
You have the power to help aspiring immigrant farmers in raising free-range chickens at our farm. Your investment will support our trainees in covering their operating costs this upcoming season, and it will put healthy food on your table. This is your chance to actively participate in reshaping our food system!
As support for our agricultural model grows, graduates of the training program will help build a regional agriculture economy that restores the land, produces healthy food and positively impacts marginalized and underemployed community members.
What’s a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, and is a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer, while supporting the upfront expenses to generate healthy food products.
Here are the basics: A farmer offers a certain number of “shares” to the public. Typically the share consists of a box of vegetables, but in our case we have whole chickens. Interested consumers purchase a share and in return receive their share at the time of harvest.
