Abby McNitt

Abby McNitt’s love of farming came from her grandparents and their dairy farm in New Richmond, Wisconsin. She has fond memories of her grandma walking her around the garden and chasing clouded sulfur butterflies around. She discovered that she wanted to pursue farming while working at a local vegetable farm. Since then, she has been working to establish her cut flower business. Abby is an organic, chemical-free farmer. In addition to fresh flowers and some produce, Abby preserves and presses flowers for art and dried bouquets. 

This year will be Abby’s third season farming and first year as a Commons Cohort farmer at Sharing Our Roots farm. Abby will be selling flowers at our Emerging Farmers’ Markets in 2024.
