Alex Kucich

Alex Kucich (he/him) works in conservation education in St. Paul, and lives in Minneapolis. Originally from Massachusetts, he came to Northfield to study at Carleton College, where he explored local ecological knowledge and interspecies relationsips that converge in the Cannon River. As a student, and later as a Northfield resident, he became involved in food- and educational justice efforts in Rice County, including work with Growing Up Healthy, Faribault High School RISE, and the Faribault Rotary Community Garden, through which he collaborated with Sharing Our Roots.

Alex is inspired by Sharing Our Roots’ commitment to local food systems, land justice and honoring diverse forms of agricultural knowledge, and is excited to contribute to building resilient and just communities in Rice County.
