Join Sharing Our Roots’ staff for a land walk of the Sharing Our Roots Farm! A once degraded, corn-on-corn parcel is now a thriving ecosystem. Learn about our efforts to restore this 163-acre landscape into a thriving ecosystem shared by wildlife, livestock, and people.
Our June land walk will focus on the wildlife monitoring and habitat restoration work of Sharing Our Roots and will be led by Rocky Casillas, Wildlife Counts Program Manager. During our walk, you’ll learn more about the Wildlife Counts program, the significance of wildlife in farm ecosystems, and what we’re doing at the SOR Farm to create healthy habitat. We’ll visit several wildlife "hot spots" on the farm, as well as areas being actively managed for the purpose of habitat restoration.
Remember to dress for the weather and to bring water. The land walk will last for 60-90 minutes and consist of light walking across unpaved, mowed terrain, with areas to sit and rest along the way. Since Sharing Our Roots is a working farm, please keep pets at home. Please send any translation or accommodation needs to info@sharing-our-roots.org.

We offer these tours freely. If you are able and inspired, please join us in our work to heal our lands and prepare emerging farmers by contributing a single-time or recurring donation.
We are proud to be community-supported by donations of all amounts. Thank you!
