October Land Walk: Natural Lands Restoration

  • Sharing Our Roots Farm 4905 315th Street West Northfield, MN, 55057 (map)

Join Sharing Our Roots’ staff for a land walk of the Sharing Our Roots Farm! A once degraded, corn-on-corn parcel is now a thriving ecosystem. Learn more about our efforts to restore this 163-acre landscape and how we are supporting immigrant, BIPOC, LGBTQ+. and emerging farmers reclaim their food sovereignty on the land.

Our October land walk is centered around our conservation work and will be led by Nic Nelson, Natural Lands Program Manager. During our walk, you’ll learn more about the restoration of our farm, the different ecosystems on the land, and the many forms of life that support ecosystem health.

Remember to dress for the weather and to bring water. The land walk will last for 60-90 minutes and consist of light walking across unpaved, mowed terrain, with areas to sit and rest along the way. Since Sharing Our Roots is a working farm, please keep pets at home. Please send any translation or accommodation needs to info@sharing-our-roots.org.

Please register below to save a spot to help us with planning.

We offer these tours freely. If you are able and inspired, please join us in our work to heal our lands and prepare emerging farmers by contributing a single-time or recurring donation.

We are proud to be community-supported by donations of all amounts. Thank you!
