Gwen Anderson

Gwen Anderson has a history of local food organizing and collaboration in the region, including the “Cannon Valley Grown” initiative, involvement with Renewing the Countryside, Minnesota Farmers Union, and the Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota. She is passionate about uplifting the local food economy and partnering with other organizations to amplify shared food systems and food justice values.

Gwen has called Northfield home since 1998. From 2019-2023, she ran The Local Plate, a food truck business to promote on-farm local food events. Now retired, she continues to volunteer to help broaden the local sustainable agriculture community.
