Megan O’Hara
Board Member
Megan O'Hara is a communications professional with broad experience in communications and deep community engagement. She has led public/private partnerships to advance community health agendas, working closely with agencies, nonprofits and grassroots community advocates. She has worked in a broad range of issue areas: sustainable agriculture, local food policy, transportation, children and nature, youth development and employment.
Megan was one of the founding chairs of Homegrown Minneapolis, to encourage policies for Minneapolis to address lack of access to healthy food options within the city and allowing new models to flourish for growing and distribution of fresh and healthy foods to all neighborhoods. She held an Endowed Chair fellowship with Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture to study regulatory barriers and solutions for small local food businesses. She serves on the regional council for the National Parks Conservation Association and on the Board of Sharing Our Roots.
