This monthly market highlights our Commons Cohort farmers and offer a variety of fresh vegetables, flowers, botanicals, and honey, all grown here on our 163-acre farm.
Cohort farmers are provided with specialized training from the Minnesota Farmers Market Association (MFMA) to develop and enhance market skills. By supporting local farmers at our market, you're directly contributing to the sustainability of small-scale producers in our area.
Our Emerging Farmer Market is free and open to the public; no registration required. Make sure to dress for the weather and wear good footwear. Since Sharing Our Roots is a working farm, please keep pets at home.
WANT TO TAKE A WALK AROUND THE FARM?
Our Farmers’ Market is also an opportunity to experience the beauty of our natural lands and learn about our mission-based work. While each market will run from 4-7pm, we’ll offer a guided land walk from 5-6:30pm on topics ranging from wildlife conservation to commons-based farming. In one trip to the farm, you can learn about our regenerative farming work from one of our expert staff AND bring home hyper-local produce - what a deal!
Our August land walk is centered on the farm and food production side of Sharing Our Roots and will be led by Alissa Jacobsen, Farm Manager. We will discuss the philosophy behind our farming practices, clarify terms such as “organic”, “sustainable”, and “regenerative”, and learn more about food production on the farm.
Free registration is required for our land walks - click here to learn more and let us know you’re coming!
